vom herrn zeichner vorneweg, der sie da so formidable in falgranti abgebildet hat, und dem dicken fell, die sich alle zusammen freuen, dass sie ein jahr alt sind.wir wünschen von herzen und mit allem rambazamba einen wunderbaren und ereignisreichen g.-burztach!

es ist einiges los, nachts im zoo. viele wundern sich, warum die gang tagsüber so unglaublich verpennt ist. unabängig davon, dass sich die monatliche kegelei von knut und den wölfen herumgesprochen hat und nun alle an ihren zwölftel-geburtstagen mit allen kegeln wollen, wird ja auch ununterbrochen gemalt und gezeichnet und geschrieben. da ist man eben müder tagsüber!

*boy, there is a lot going on theses days. no wonder the gang is sleeping all day….. plus, news on the monthly bowling-date knut has with the wolves has finally spread and now, everybody wants to go bowling on their twelfth-birthdays. and in their rare spare time they are painting, drawing and writing like mad, so no wonder they are daytime dozy……*

dann fiel ernst siedendheiss ein, dass ihm bumipol von dem jährlichen eierfest erzählt hat, das die zoobesucher feiern. und ernst nicht faul hat das dann wiederum knut erzählt und der hat dann die tolle idee gehabt, eier zu bemalen, wie es die zoo besucher tun und im ganzen zoo zu verstecken.

* then ernst remembered that his dad bumipol told him about the annual egg-and-bunny-party the zoovisitors celebrated. and ernst never idle told knut all about it. knut in return had the ever so fantastic idea to colour some eggs and hide them all over the zoo, for the fans!*

und da die vier ja immer alles mit uns teilen, haben sie sich bei den vorbereitungen zum osterfest fotografiert und dem dicken fell die bilder per mail zugeschickt. bitteschön und frohe ostern von uns allen!

ankündigung!

die gang gibt hiermit die einstweilige freundliche übernahme des dicken fells bekannt. wir, die gang, malen und schreiben unsere geschichten ab sofort besser selber, denken wir, die gang. sonst geht das ja hier nie weiter. der geneigte leser und gucker darf sich also auf die baldige fortsetzung unserer fantastischen abenteuer freuen.

there is pretty little that describes a day like today in the zoo. trying to figure out what pictures to upload, why and what to write about them i kind of draw a blank today. so i put them in reverse order da big polar bears first at play and da lil‘ bear last at play and did a vid-slideshow. these polar bears are so intritguing these days that it does nothing more nor less than leaves you first out of breath an then out of words. i sure hope this comes across in this

today, in the zoo we talked about years and stuff. 2003 was a very very hot summer. 2006 was the football/soccer worldcup in germany.

2007 we will and i will never ever forget. i am 41 years old but i have never in all those years experienced something even close to what happened this year. for the good and the bad i owe the bear and what happened around him huge, big time. i have met people that i dearly love, many of those i am honored to call good friends now, and they have been that, friends, from the get-go and nothing has changed ever since.
